The position: reports to the Lead Aerodynamics Designer or designee. Works closely with model makers and aerodynamicists to continuously evolve performance of aerodynamic test parts and surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
  • CAD model part design.
  • CAD surface definition and concept scheming.
  • Clear communication of task status.
  • Develop workflow automation tools.
  • Follow and maintain safety standards in all venues.
  • Assume any responsibilities delegated by their seniors.

Education and Work Experience:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Typically requires at least 2 years of experience in the automobile racing industry.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of and experience with CAD, with expertise in CATIA/3DX.
  • Self-sufficient in planning and prioritizing tasks.
  • Use judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills to achieve objectives.

Equipment and Applications:

  • Solid computer knowledge, preferred experience in Microsoft Office products.
