ACET is seeking C-26 Aircraft Mechanic II’s at the following locations: PMRF- Barking Sands, Hawaii NAS- Sigonella, Italy NSA- Naples, Italy USTPS- Patuxent River, MD Responsibilities: - Performs routine aircraft maintenance functions. - Performs preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems. - Operates aircraft towing equipment in towing operations. Maintains aircraft hydraulic systems. - Performs quality technical inspection of aircraft, aircraft components, parts, repairs, and systems (including avionics, electrical, instrument and armament) as required by functional assignment. - Performs quality and safety inspections of on-site equipment and tools used in aircraft maintenance, vehicles, and equipment. - Performs maintenance, repair, modification, rework, and overhaul of aircraft, aircraft components, and component parts, and overhaul of aircraft, aircraft components, and component parts - Provides technical guidance, instructions, and interpretation of written instructions and procedures to mechanics as required to assure acceptable quality work and flight line services. - Assists in preparation, processing, and answering of Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs). - Performs troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems and aircraft sub-systems, including fuel, oil and hydraulic systems. - Performs functional checks, inspections, troubleshooting as required and trained. - Completes and Maintains aircraft forms and records. Requirements: - Must have a minimum of 5 years aviation experience. - Must be skill qualified and possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification. - Prior experience on C-26 aircraft preferred. - Must be proficient in repairing fuel tanks and fuel leaks. - Must be able to obtain/maintain United States Secret Security Clearance. - Must have Valid US Passport. - High School Diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate required - Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position. - U.S Citizen and must pass a background check and be able to obtain and maintain a Common access card. - Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, technical manuals, and use measuring instruments, gauges, tools, and test equipment. - Must demonstrate an operational knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, engines, and component parts. - Must have knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenance. - Must be able to read and write, and interpret and comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, and directives, guides and forms used on the job. Physical Requirements: - Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds independently. - Must be able to pass fit for work physical and/or drug test as required. - Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, to include working overhead. Position requires sitting and/or standing at workbenches and wire boards 99% of the day. - Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flightline. - Must be able to man and perform Flightline Extinguisher duties. - If required must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate Powered Industrial Trucks. - If required must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 - 4 hours. - If required must be able to perform confined space activities. - Position requires repetitive hand use using wire cutters, crimpers, etc. - Travel may be required.
