The DV Engineer will report to the Technology Director in solid line and dotted line to the Quality Director and will have the following responsibilities: Develop and implement appropriate design testing and auditing procedures, tools and techniques that support the overall business objectives and effectively assess the core technologies and processes used in the manufacture of products or services. Assess prospective suppliers to determine the level of conformance to applicable specifications in the areas of Quality, Delivery, Cost and Responsiveness. Participate in the periodic design review and evaluation of the new design solution with Technical Department Representatives. Assist in the Technology Selection process with Technical Department Representatives. Participate in the formulation of sourcing strategies with Supply Chain Representatives. Data driven assessment planning. Identify risks and improvement opportunities, perform gap analysis and create action plans to close the gap. Work with Technology Department to develop capabilities and technologies that support the Company business objectives and meet the performance expectations. Using data analysis techniques, identify suppliers with systemic problems in quality and/or delivery and utilize RCCM's to drive improvement. Participate in Supplier Lean Development (SLD) activities (KAIZEN in progress) when required. Conduct lean assessments as needed. Provide training to suppliers on Company advanced quality tools. The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics: Engineering degree: mechanical, electronic, mechatronic is preferred. Extensive knowledge and experience with quality system compliance, verification and validation process, auditing, and advanced quality techniques (PPAP - Production Part Approval Process, Capability Studies, Gage R&R - Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility, SPC - Statistical process control analysis, 8D - 8 disciplines of problem solving, RCCM - Root-Cause Countermeasures, CAPA - Corrective and Preventive Actions, etc Expertise in various problem-solving techniques. Excellent communication skills both in Italian and English. Able to manage time and schedule independently. Strong inter-personal influencing skill. Problem solving tools such as six sigma etc., certified quality system auditor (e.g. ISO) is preferred. Experience working or familiar with the process on multi-industry e.g. the casting, machining, metal fabrication, electronics. Over 3 years working experience in Verification and Validation Engineering function is preferred. Experience of organizing/leading problem-solving events to address quality or delivery issues.
