Summary:

With reference to the mining concessions operated in Italy by Energean Italy S.p.A. and Energean Sicilia Srl, the role will exercise the function of the “Direttore Responsabile” pursuant to Legislative Decree 624/96 - DPR 886/79 - DPR128/59 and subsequent amendments, reporting directly to the HSE Operational Head and matrix to the holder of the mining concessions.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Takes care of the organization of field work according to the safety provisions issued by the Data Controller, including on-site inspections, visits, the organization of briefings, supervision of work permits, etc.
  2. Observes and ensures compliance with the legislative and regulatory provisions on the protection of the safety and health of workers, as well as implements the DSSC (which he/she signs), both in terms of objectives and specific provisions.
  3. Whenever necessary, it proceeds to issue specific service orders aimed at implementing the specific safety provisions of the Data Controller for activities relevant from the point of view of worker safety.
  4. Supports the Data Controller on an operational level in the responsibility for safety and health in the workplace.
  5. Manages emergencies with service orders, work permits, provisions aimed at overcoming the emergency itself.
  6. Verifies the correct legislative compliance of mining sites as required by current legislation in terms of workplace safety, including aspects relating to the compliance of fire-fighting systems, lifting systems, pressure equipment, explosive atmospheres and all that is required pursuant to Legislative Decree 624/96 and Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments. If anomalies are detected, requests their resolution by activating the appropriate technical functions.
  7. Verifies and rationalizes the individual work plans, making them congruent with the available resources according to the safety and workplace aspects.
  8. Verifies the completeness and consistency of the necessary documentation by the contractors, verifying its adequacy, for the purpose of carrying out the planned works within the company's documentation management process.
  9. Participates in training and information sessions for the roles of competence.
  10. Interfaces with the competent UNMIG Territorial Office and with the URIG for all issues relating to safety in the workplace.
  11. Interfaces with the competent territorial commands of the Fire Brigade, the Port Authorities and any other competent control body for all matters relating to safety in the workplace.
  12. Accompanies the bodies in charge of safety inspections during field visits, providing them with clarifications, clarifications and anything else related to safety aspects and their organization.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Degree in engineering with qualification to the profession, or degree in geology with qualification to the profession (as provided for by Legislative Decree 128/59 amended by Law 388 of 23 December 2000, art.14, paragraph 5).
  2. At least 3 years' experience in the role.
  3. Knowledge of the principles of the process of treatment of both liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons, the principles of maintenance of industrial plants, the principles of management of offshore plants.
  4. Knowledge of the technical regulations of the sector (i.e. confined spaces, hazardous atmospheres, Exxd classified areas, fire prevention regulations, work at height, handling of loads).
  5. Knowledge of aspects relating to mining and safety regulations in the workplace (Legislative Decree 624/96, Presidential Decree 886/79, Legislative Decree 81/2008).

Skills:

  1. Written and spoken English (minimum requirement level B2)
  2. Excellent knowledge of the office package, especially Excel
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to fit in and work in a team
