: Job Purpose

On timely basis, guarantee the efficient execution, supporting all the accounting activities done in the South Region, with an accurate supervision of the teams assigned to him/her, always ensuring to meet legal, local and tax requirements, and the internal managerial expectations (procedures, deadlines, accurate monitoring, suggestions, etc ).

Working with the bank and interacting with the Corporate Treasury, ensuring the guidelines and the internal policies are respected.

Acting as main interface for the Shared Service Center (BEBS), to give guidance and instructions, in order the team to respect the Service Level Agreement, overviewing their performance and raising his/her hand in case of a performance not in line with the expectations.

Being the main interface for local functions and for Corporate (BSEU) for local GAAP matters, giving recommendations and highlighting risks and mitigation actions.

Working together with the Tax Mgr to give recommendations on VAT and on Income Taxes related topics, to protect the company from the tax perspective.

Overviewing the Local GAAP and the Tax areas on the areas outside Italy, falling under Bridgestone South Europe configuration. Such overview will be done through the management of the local consultants.

Being responsible of the General Services, including i.e. company cars management, interacting with the travel agency to achieve the maximum compliance with the Bridgestone policies, and overviewing the Real Estate area, focused on the Facility matters.

Acting as the main point of contact for the external auditors, and facilitating the internal auditing, when requested, challenging the current policies and procedures to achieve the maximum possible compliancy.

Areas of responsilbity

1 - ACCOUNT PAYABLES

Overview BEBS activities and Service Level effectiveness, supporting them to solve the issues, giving clear instructions on codings and on other details to achieve the best possible automation, and reducing at minimum the local involvement, to ensure that the posting and the payment of all invoices is executed within their due date like the open items payable through Netting System.

2 - TAXES SUPERVISION

VAT and income taxes under control. Early warnings in case of criticalities (i.e. linked to projects proposed by the Sales & Marketing), to be discussed with the Tax Mgr.

Advisoring role for the organization as first point of contact.

3 - TREASURY

Cash pooling and other Corporate tools up and running, regular payments with very limited exceptions (manual ones), cash flow forecast regularly in place.

4 - LOCAL GAAP ADVISORING

Being the first point of contact for the organization for question and activities impacting the Local GAAP, giving recommendations and instructions. In many cases, giving green or red light for the proposed activities.
