English mother tongue teacher

Our school was founded in 1985 in the city of Pozzuoli (NA). We are one of the most accredited schools in the Phlegraean area, operating in the school environment and conducting lessons and activities from kindergarten to primary school completely in English.

Our greatest strength is the teaching of the English language; we represent a point of reference in our area, as we have been officially recognized as a Cambridge center and nationally awarded for the high quality of teaching. We work with children aged between 2 and 10.

Thanks to the Cambridge Method, the division into groups according to the British System, and CLIL insights, our school promotes bilingualism at 360 degrees. Each lesson is structured to recreate everyday situations in which students interact directly with the teacher or with other students. With the use of the IWB (Interactive Multimedia Whiteboard), Educational Tablets, and innovative learning material, the lessons are dynamic and engaging. The teacher, through targeted activity proposals, works on the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, aiming to encourage the acquisition, improvement, and mastery of the English language. All objectives are achieved gradually, respecting the learning times of each student.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a native English teacher to work with children between the ages of 2 and 10.

MORE DETAILS ABOUT THE WORK SPECIFIC DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Organize and carry out educational, didactic, and recreational activities to help children develop their English language skills.
• Plan didactic, educational, and recreational activities, defining the most suitable methodologies, materials, and tools for each (games, sports activities, etc.).
• Help children develop their cognitive skills (linguistic, expressive, etc.) and to know and interpret the world around them.
• Promote socialization among children through various types of activities (games, etc.).
• Define objectives and expected results (strategic thinking).
• Demonstrate communication skills (written and/or oral).
• Exhibit listening skills.
• Show relational skills (empathy).
• Possess personal characteristics and attitudes conducive to teaching.
• Exhibit a propensity for learning and self-learning.
• Demonstrate self-control/resistance to stress.
• Show motivation and a propensity to update skills.
• Exhibit creativity.
• Be available to work in a team.

What are the mandatory requirements?

• The candidate must be a native English speaker.
• The candidate must have a minimum knowledge of Italian.
• Previous experience or particular qualifications are not mandatory, as our school has various professional figures able to train those without prior experience.
