Valentino is looking for an Intern who will be included in the IT Workplace Management Department, based in Valdagno, and will support the team in the following activities: • Network setup: The IT person will need to support the set up the network infrastructure for the new store • Internet connectivity: The IT person will need to ensure that the new store has a reliable internet connection, which may involve working with internet service providers to install and configure internet access • POS system installation: The IT person will need to support the install of the point-of-sale (POS) systems for the new store, working with the third parties involved in the activity • Testing and troubleshooting: The IT person will attend the tests of all systems and software to ensure that they are working properly • Overall, the IT person will support the IT team in the critical role of ensuring that the new store has all the necessary IT infrastructure in place to operate efficiently and securely Requirements: • Basic knowledge of networking principles and protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. • Proficiency in English • Nice to have - Familiarity with basic programming concepts and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash • Good knowledce of Office Package • Understanding of operating systems such as Windows and Linux, including the ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot them. • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software. • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other IT professionals to achieve project goals. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues and implement effective solutions. • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities and requirements. • Attention to detail, with the ability to follow procedures and document processes accurately. • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities as they arise.
