JOB DESCRIPTION

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

This position is responsible for supporting the business units in acquiring and integrating new operation units and designing future optimized production and distribution footprint including tint and blend facilities.

He will be accountable and responsible to support design and execution of the end-to-end process of acquisition and integration: from due diligence phase to day1 readiness, to future state footprint implementation according to acquisition rational and expected operational synergies.

All projects will be focused on improving customer experience and business profitability and the role will be accountable and responsible to agree and set project deliverables, targets and build a solid data driven proforma.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Major Tasks Performed:

  • Provide clear recommendation to business on acquired operation during due diligence phase. (Site visit, due diligence report, conclusions).
  • Prepare integration scenario and related proforma based on acquisition rational and business priority. Identify operational synergy and design plan for transition to future state.
  • For current SW operational entities, design rationalization or growth scenario, put together clear project scopes and financial analysis for complexity reduction, footprint optimization and high impact business practice changes that support the road to 25% ROS.
  • Effectively present project business cases to ELT and to executives. Communicate clearly and succinctly, issues, options, and recommended actions.
  • Engage with main stakeholders in all functions (finance, engineering, supply chain, sales), create consensus on strategy, ensure project team in place and high momentum on project executions.
  • Benchmark internal and external best practices to ensure the EMEAI region is best-in-class meeting Customer requirements in terms of consistent Quality, best Service, and optimized cost to deliver.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Submit solid plans for complexity reduction and manufacturing and supply chain footprint optimization in a way that:
    • Safety: meets EHS objectives, advances Process Safety Management (PSM), Regulatory Compliance, and sustainability.
    • Quality: Provides product Quality consistently specifications; improve Cost of Poor Quality.
    • Service: Achieve Service Level and Lead Time objective. Focus on the Customer.
    • Cost / Productivity: Achieve COGS reduction through Improved productivity, Opportunity cost and RM cost and contribute to 25% ROS. Clear financial analysis and hard savings materialization plan.
    • People: supports employee engagement and career opportunities.

Support project execution in order to guarantee adherence to original design. Promptly escalate in case of deviances or risk supporting the team to identify corrective actions.

Act as facilitators for removal of any kind of roadblock, provide to project team guidance and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent
  • Master degree Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent
  • Master of Business Administration

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Be a successful leader as plant manager, supply chain manager or Area Director of Operations in the EMEAI Region.
  • Significant experience with a breadth of knowledge covering operations (supply chain, manufacturing, order management, engineering and procurement)
  • Full understanding of different phases of end-to-end Supply Chain. Experience in Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.
  • Proven track record of successful delivery of change on a number of large scale, high profile, strategic business and technology projects or programs
  • In depth knowledge of project management methodology, tools and techniques
  • Experience with process mapping and implementation, supporting large or complex multi-functional and multi-divisional projects, with large complex business integrations, acquisitions or site rationalizations preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and to lead and influence cross-organizationally with and without direct authority
  • Ability to effectively move forward on tasks even with ambiguous or changing requirements
  • English is mandatory
