Meaningful Work From Day One As a member of the Corporate Tax team, the Senior Tax Accountant will oversee, prepare and reconcile the day to day tax compliance duties such as VAT, withholding taxes, CIT and other tax related assignments for the Italian entity. This includes the tax computation and reporting according to US-GAAP and statutory reporting requirements. In this function the Sr. Tax Accountant analyst will report to the Tax Manager Europe and hold a dotted reporting line with the Accounting Manager Italy. This is an office/hybrid role with 3 days a week out of our office in central Milan with two days at home. What You Can Expect Involvement in the preparation of local tax returns including advance VAT returns Assistance with the review of local statutory financial statements, statutory audits and local country tax returns. Liaise together with the Accounting Manager and Tax Manager tax audits Communication with tax authorities and tax consultants, exchange information on payment requests and other tax issues Assistance for the preparation of the Transfer Pricing documentation in collaboration with the Corporate Tax and the external consulting team Involvement in the creation of the internal Tax Compliance Management System for the Italian market Monitor and analyze current legislative changes and evaluate their impact on regional tax risks What You Bring to the Table Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree in tax a plus 4 to 6 years of tax experience for the Italian market Ability to analyze financial statements, general ledger accounts, and prepare accounting workpapers Ability to research and interpret Italian income tax laws and regulations Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts Effective oral and written communication skills.
