Your role and responsibilities

In this role, we are searching for a Senior Project Engineer, you will be tertiary or secondary qualified preferably in electrical engineering with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in project engineering including skills in electrical schemes development, engineering solutions, functional and logical solutions for MV & LV cubicles in accordance with contract specifications, scope/time/cost management, commercial negotiations and ability to manage and coordinate the progression of the materials and interactions with Operations and Expediting.

This role is contributing to the ELSE Service division, Electrification Business Area in Dalmine. You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Evaluating, selecting and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
  2. Creating work plans and cost estimates in own area of responsibility like engineering hours to develop the project, and ensure quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost.
  3. Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.
  4. Providing SAP data entry codes, to process the materials needed to manufacture/build the part required as a Revamping of an existing cubicle/panel, or replacement of protection relays and relevant communication logic, or the supply of a new panel extension to an existing switchboard, as well as to provide a OneFit cassette or a Retrofit Circuit breaker to replace an old existing one.
  5. Providing SAP data entry for the materials needed to the scope, the DTO list for mechanical LV panels of extension or drawers.
  6. Providing electrical schemes, by studying the logics (functional/logic diagrams), applying the standards, implementing on the drawings and coordinating the external engineering companies.
  7. Preparing project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables and providing quality solutions as per customer requirements and deliver within budget and contract.
  8. Assisting customers on technical issues, interacting with official contacts, contractors and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables. Also assisting communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.
  9. Reporting processes and tools inefficiencies and suggesting improvements ideas.

Qualifications for the role
  • You are highly skilled in knowledge of Low and Medium Voltage switchboards and circuit breakers.
  • You have at least more than five years in a similar role.
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of SW (MS Office package, MS Project, ElettraCad, SAP).
  • You are captivated by the ability to organize work, set priorities and communicate effectively with all the various stakeholders during the development of a project.
  • Degree in Engineering (electrotechnical and electrical systems knowledge), or Technical Diploma as Perito Industriale in Elettrotecnica.
  • You are at ease communicating in good Italian and full professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
