Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 70,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwide Within the Rolling Stock & Components (RSC) Development & Operations Product Line, the RSC Development and Project Office is responsible for defining standards, methodologies and tools for Engineering, Development and Project and for supporting Regions for developing competencies and for supporting projects in development phase. The RSC Engineering is part of the RSC Development and Project Office organization and: In collaboration with Engineering sites, has the Design Authority for all technical matters on projects, manages the solutions during the entire lifecycle, defines, promotes and deploys across the Regions the standardization of engineering reference solutions and methods & tools to enhance engineering productivity and efficiency, animates métier network and develops competencies, manages engineering workload and supports engineering on demand from sites manages and supports the deployment of the Engineering transformation. The Train Electrical métier reports to the RSC Engineering organization and is responsible for the study process definition, components standardization and integration standards definition for the Electrical scope Purpose of the Job Related to the assigned Electrical domain (harness and cubicle), the Skill Leader is responsible for the good applicability of the methodology and the technical development of the related engineering community. The Skill Leader will actively support project teams in difficulties regarding QCD engagements. To involve of the evolution of the Train Electrical department through the electrical workshop métier with other stakeholders. Provide support for new sites ATSA which will involve input NEO process and Upstream. Define new technical solution (link with the process team) to decrease cost and time development. Performance Measurement/KPI’s Monitor technical issue with QCD impact due to the domain Electrical and CoE E. And support the team to avoid critical situations. Report the situation monthly on standard projects and weekly on critical ones. Contribute to the update of guidelines, tools and templates for the electrical end to end process. Contribute for the update of new electrical architecture (simplification,) Raise a list of people trained with the training received. Responsibilities: To capitalize the return of experience for the Train Electrical community To spread the validated best practice to the Engineering community To support the dedicated team to create and update the knowledge guidelines, the tools and the templates of deliverables. To perform this action, the Skill Leader will share a return of experience with the Train Electrical Process Manager To deploy those guidelines, tools and templates in the Electrical engineering community and to promote their use The Skill Leader has access to all design review files and can challenge the design to optimize the QCD To ensure the technical quality of the deliverables produced (harness and cubicle) by the engineers of the domain by reviewing and signing those deliverables To coach and train the Train Electrical (TRS, TLS, BGL) engineers of the domain To provide support upon request to engineers of the domain and contribute to problem solving. The Skill Leader will act as TEE support to bring the situation to a controlled one To help the KU Electrical for the Electrical Domain To contribute and participate to audit the execution of the projects in order to challenge the QCD To organize Design Review with the different sites to challenge the technical solution (QCD) To participate to the deployment of the golden rules Competencies required: Mechanical conception, Schematics design and review Notion of Material resistance Microsoft Office, Catia V5 Knowledge of norms/regulations relevant to the electrical sector Fluent in English Animate a network to promote rules of the Electrical Metier across all the sites Able to work in a matrix environment and with team located at international Autonomous and rigorous Education/Experience: Engineering diploma in a relevant domain (such as electrical engineering) 10 years of experience in a relevant domain (such as System/Electrical engineering) Experience in the railway sector with production follow-up Alstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow’s mobility.
